The Sultana Bran Hockey One League has announced Australian-owned not-for-profit health insurer, Westfund Health Insurance, as the league’s new Supporting Partner.
Hockey One is an upcoming field hockey competition organised by Hockey Australia and will serve as Australia’s premier domestic hockey league, helping unearth future talent for selection to the Australian national teams.
Under the new partnership, which also includes the country’s two highly ranked senior national teams – the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras, the Westfund logo will feature on the left shoulder of all Hockey One clubs’ playing tops and right shoulder of the Hockeyroos, Kookaburras, Jillaroos and Burras uniforms.
“Westfund is a trusted and highly respected health insurance brand so it is fantastic that they have come on board with Hockey One,” General Manager Hockey One, Tony Dodemaide, said.
“I am sure the partnership will provide great benefits for both parties, particularly in the promotion and exposure of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League while helping Westfund to develop as a national brand.”
At the helm of an organisation currently serving more than 50,000 members, Westfund CEO, Matt Banning, is excited about the opportunity to align with Hockey Australia.
“Central to our ethos as a not-for-profit health insurer is our commitment to our members and our communities.
“Just like Hockey Australia, we are committed to invoking a sense of community for our members and in empowering them with choice and greater opportunity around the provision of their healthcare.”
The first round of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League will be broadcast on Live on Kayo Sport from Septemeber 29th 2019.
