Fans and members from Western Sydney Wanderers FC are set to benefit from a newly formed partnership with rideshare company Ola.
Ola, which operates in all the major cities in Australia, will give Wanderers members and fans discounts on rides and special promotions throughout the season, including an introductory offer* of $10 off the first two rides for new sign-ups to the platform.
Together with the Wanderers, Ola will have an exclusive Ola pickup zone opposite Parramatta RSL for Wanderers members and fans that need a ride to and from Bankwest Stadium.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO, John Tsatsimas, said he was pleased to be signing with the global rideshare partner.
“We are very delighted to be working with Ola this season in giving our members and fans a new way to get to the Wanderland,” Tsatsimas said.
“Together we are looking forward to launching an exclusive Ola pickup zone in collaboration with Parramatta RSL, on the ground floor of their Macquarie Street carpark.”
Ola will bring to life a ‘Beat the Ola’ activation on match day, starting with the Sydney Derby.
Run at selected home games, Wanderers fans will be given the chance to win a signed Wanderers jersey by going on the field and chasing an LED Ola car.
Managing Director of Ola Australia, Simon Smith, said he was excited to partner with the Red & Black for the upcoming season.
“We are excited to partner with the Wanderers and provide an effortless transport option so fans can conveniently and reliably get to and from the games to support their favourite team,” Smith said.
“Western Sydney is the fastest growing economic region in Australia and the brand new stadium in Parramatta, Bankwest stadium, is a great opportunity for us to partner with the Wanderers to enhance fans’ experience of getting to and from games using Ola.
“We have worked shoulder to shoulder with the Wanderers to provide the integrated matchday transport solutions of the Ola pickup zone at Parramatta RSL car park where fans can get their Ola.”
“Wanderers fans are the most passionate fans of any sport in Australia and their passion is borne out of giving western Sydney a fair go, similarly Ola believes in a fair go for all, including our drivers, many of whom live in Sydney’s west, and we are passionate about driver safety and well being.”
Ola will also give back to the community through the various initiatives that the Wanderers run and by offering members and fans special offers throughout the season.
