In a week filled with new commercial partnerships for AFL clubs ahead of the 2021 season, here are the top partnerships from the past week.
Geelong have announced a long-term agreement with Morris Finance for three years.
The Geelong based company will continue in their position of 11 years as an “elite partner” and official coaches sponsor until 2023, whilst providing Geelong members and associates commercial finance advice.
Geelong CEO, Brian Cook, said the nationally acclaimed company has continually been an asset to the club.
“We are really excited to have Morris Finance on board for a further three years,” Cook said.
“They have been a long-standing supporter of the club, and in recent years, our coaches in particular.
“Morris Finance and the club share many of the same values and principles, we are a great fit for one another,” he said.
Elsewhere, North Melbourne have launched The North Network program to provide networking opportunities for their members.
North Network is a fast-growing business which delivers network events focusing on business topics, strategies, and emerging industry trends, with the goal of helping businesses grow.
Meanwhile, Richmond have partnered with Lion owned beer, Furphy, in a three-year deal.
Brewed in Geelong, Furphy has become popular, particularly in Victoria over recent years.
Lion managing director, James Brindley, said he is excited at the prospect of a partnership with the reigning premiers.
“After a challenging 2020 season, Furphy is so excited to be the official beer of the Tigers,” Brindley said.
“We cannot wait to see fans enjoying a Furphy and telling a few too,” he said.
Moving west of Victoria and Port Adelaide have welcomed Skins Australia to the club for the 2021 season.
A post of their social media sites read “look out for our players wearing Skins compression throughout the 2021 season to aid performance and recovery.”
