Top AFL Club Commercial Partnerships: Swans, Bulldogs, More

he latest week in the 2021 AFL premiership season has been filled with a number of new partnership announcements across the league.

The Western Bulldogs have announced Melbourne construction company, Kapitol Group, as the club’s list management and recruitment team partner.

The partnership will evolve later in the year as the organisation will take the role of the Bulldogs’ trade and draft partner for the women’s and men’s teams.

Bulldogs chief commercial officer, Nick Truelson, said the partnership will help recruit players and build career pathways post AFL.

“Once we understood Kapitol’s focus on wanting to help develop our players off field, we knew we had a great brand fit that will also help fulfill our commitment to paving career pathways for our players after their careers,” Truelson said.

“The club and Kapitol Group share the same guiding principles of being supportive, authentic, inspirational and driven, this synergy always acts as an important foundation when we’re forming new partnerships,” he said.

Elsewhere in the league, Hawthorn has announced The Agency as its new official real estate partner, with the organisation set to become the presenting partner of Hawthorn’s annual Hawthorn in Business corporate networking seminar series.

Hawthorn CEO, Justin Reeves, said: “The Agency is an organisation highly driven by their values, which is something Hawthorn also prides itself on.”

“Adding another high-quality brand as a partner of the Hawthorn family is a milestone to celebrate.

“We are delighted to have The Agency onboard at Hawthorn and look forward to working closely with The Agency over the coming years,” Reeves said.

The Sydney Swans partner and leading childhood cancer support organisation, Redkite, has expanded on the online platform, Dads Connect, and informal space for men dealing with the impacts of their child’s cancer.

Discussing the organisations’ efforts, Swans’ star player, Josh Kennedy, who is also a father of two, spoke to the Byron Cooke Show about men opening up for help with mental health and support that Redkite offers.
