NFL Network Access Given For YouTube TV Subscribers

he NFL has announced it has signed a carriage agreement with YouTube TV, giving YouTube TV subscribers access to live games and on-demand content via NFL Network.

As part of the deal, NFL Network, the league’s dedicated pay-TV service, will be available under YouTube TV’s base membership option, with the NFL RedZone channel to be made available in a new add-on package for YouTube TV, Sports Plus.

NFL Media chief operating officer, Hans Schroeder, said the deal came just in time for the start of the 2020/21 NFL season, which is due to begin on September 10.

“We are excited to bring NFL Network and NFL RedZone to YouTube TV subscribers, just in time for the NFL’s 2020 season,” Schroeder said.

“The opportunity to give NFL Network and NFL RedZone the broadest distribution as possible to our fans remains a top priority for us, so we’re pleased to bring our line-up of exclusive live games, informative shows, and award-winning content to the YouTube TV channel line-up,” he said.

YouTube TV’s global head of partnerships, Lori Conkling, said YouTube TV customers will be able to access both NFL Network and NFL RedZone through NFL.com and on the NFL app.

“Sports fans have been some of our most passionate members since we launched YouTube TV, so we’re thrilled to introduce NFL Network to our line-up of more than 85 channels, plus NFL RedZone as part of our new Sports Plus add-on package.

“This partnership further demonstrates our commitment to offer a premium portfolio of content to our members,” she said.
