Leeds United Partner With TikTok For Football First
nglish Premier League club, Leeds United has become the first soccer club in the world to become a TikTok ecommerce shopping partner, selling merchandise on the app.
After the social media platform TikTok partnered with Shopify, the club will add a shopping tab on its profile and be able to tag products directly in videos, so fans are able to buy official merchandise and replica shirts on TikTok.
The partnership includes the release of the Leeds’ Adidas third kit available for fans to buy on TikTok, where the club currently has just over 439,000 followers.
Leeds released a statement saying the partnership represents a significant step on the club’s digital roadmap so fans can engage with their content and products across every platform.
Leed’s global head of digital, Aaron Duckmanton, said: “We’ve seen huge engagement on TikTok since we launched on the platform.”
“By integrating our retail products with TikTok, we hope to not only attract new audiences for Leeds United but also provide a seamless shopping experience for fans on the platform,” he said
