NEC Networks and System Integration Corporation (NESIC) has partnered with the NSW Waratahs, as the Japenese electronics giant becomes the new major partner of the club.
NESIC, established in 1953, specialises in network and system technology in big infrastructure projects, including sports stadia, hospitals, airports, shopping centres and hotels.
The new deal will see the NESIC logo appear on the collar of the NSW Waratahs’ matchday jersey for the 2019 season, taking place as Official Partner of the NSW Waratahs and NSW Rugby.
NSW Waratahs CEO, Andrew Hore, said this investment was significant for the organisation.
“Asia, and particularly Japan, is one of rugby’s emerging markets and one of our key priorities is to expand the NSW Waratahs brand in that region,” Hore said.
This partnership will help us towards that goal.
“This is a partnership that has been 12 months in the making with NESIC supporting the NSW Waratahs’ participation in the CHICHIBUNOMIYA Minato Rugby Festival in Tokyo in 2017 and 2018.
“This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our credentials in the Japan corporate sector via our networks, database and media channels and forge potential long-term relationships into Asia.
“NSW Rugby provides a great opportunity for NESIC to showcase their brand to the Australian market and connect to our audiences across the State and the country,” Hore said.
Senior Vice President, NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation, Osamu Noda, said NESIC contributes to a safe, secure and plentiful tomorrow in various contexts of daily life by building ICT systems and providing services.
“NESIC will provide services that create connections between athletes and fans centering around sport stadiums and other sites that attract people.
“Through this sponsorship of the NSW Waratahs, NESIC aims for the deployment of businesses in Australia,” said Mr Noda.
