Extreme E Sign Worldwide Media Distribution Deal With Red Bee Media

xtreme E has announced Red Bee Media will support its broadcast package worldwide, delivering satellite distribution services to major broadcasters.

Red Bee Media will also provide the digital distribution network to live stream all Extreme E race content on all of its digital platforms, with Extreme E to utilise Red Bee’s OTT platform for global live streaming on its website and digital assets.

Extreme E chief marketing officer, Ali Russell, said the partnership will help Extreme E reach a global audience.

“This support from Red Bee Media adds up to Extreme E being able to reach a truly global audience,” Russell said.

“In line with the Championships’ environmental and sustainability missions, there will be no spectators on site, so it is imperative the broadcast product is right, and shared with as many screens as possible.

“I’m delighted to be working with Red Bee Media, a company that has a track-record in delivering content far and wide,” he said.

Red Bee Media CEO, Steve Nylund, said the company is excited to help deliver the broadcast product worldwide.

The deal is the latest in the lead up to the 2021 inaugural series of Extreme E, which will visit five remote locations including Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Greenland, Brazil, and Patagonia.
