DraftKings Partner With Genius Sports To Secure NFL Data
raftKings has secured a multi-year partnership with Genius Sports that will give the fantasy gaming operator exclusive National Football League (NFL) data to create a new range of betting options.
Since April, DraftKings has been one of the NFL’s tri-exclusive official sports betting partners in the US, along with Caesars Entertainment and FanDuel.
In the same month, Genius Sports was also given exclusive rights to the NFL, allowing them to distribute the league’s betting data to media companies and sports betting operators globally.
The deal makes DraftKings the first gaming operator to be permitted access to official NFL data from Genius Sports.
Now in their newest agreement, DraftKings will have access to a range of exclusive content from Genius Sports, including live video feeds from over 170,00 events a year, products, player acquisition, and retention solutions.
Genius Sports chief executive, Mark Locke, said: “Being selected by DraftKings, one of the most prolific sportsbook brands in the US, is another historic achievement for Genius Sports.”
“This partnership reinforces our commitment to official sports data and demonstrates its intrinsic value in helping our sportsbook partners out from the competition.
“Our data, trading, streaming and marketing services deliver a complete set of sportsbook solutions that are backed by the largest leagues in world sports, including the NFL,” he said.
In addition to the NFL, DraftKings will receive data from the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, Nascar, the English Premier League, Liga MX, as well as Argentine and Colombian soccer, and the American Hockey League.
DraftKings chief business officer, Extra Kucharz, said: “The mutually beneficial terms of this agreement allow us to leverage Genius’ technology for years to come.”
“We are excited to expand the capabilities of our products and provide new and exciting features for our customers like single-game parlays while having confidence in the integrity of the data we utilize to fuel our offerings,” Kucharz said.
DraftKings currently has plans in place to expand its presence in the US by creating branded sports bars, in partnership with Sports and Social.
