Brumbies Extend Plus 500 Partnership
rumbies have extended their naming rights partnership with Plus500 until the end of 2021.
Brumbies CEO, Phil Thomson, said: “it is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the extension of our partnership with Plus500 for 2021.”
“We have built a very strong relationship with Plus500 as our naming rights partner over the last 4 years and we are very happy that they have decided to continue their association with our club.
“Their ongoing commitment to us during such a difficult period is a testament to the strength of their brand.
“In what has been a difficult year for everyone, their acknowledgement of the strength of the Brumbies is a huge vote of confidence in our organisation and a boost to the game in Canberra and the surrounding region,” he said.
Plus500 first partnered with the Brumbies for the 2017 season.
The extension came at a good time for the Brumbies; who won the Super Rugby AU final this weekend.
Plus500 Australia CEO, Sean Murphy, said: “after a year as volatile and unpredictable as 2020, it gives me great pleasure to reconfirm Plus500’s relationship with the Brumbies for another year.”
“The Brumbies have shown incredible resilience and have continued to promote their core values of integrity, mate-ship and success throughout these unprecedented times.
“We are honoured to once again stand by this proud club as their Major Sponsor for the 2021 Super Rugby season,” Murphy said.
London Stock Exchange-listed Plus500 received annual revenue of $564.2m (€475.6m), up 281.2 per cent on the same period last year, supported by higher customer numbers and use of its platform at elevated levels.
The platform attracted nearly 200,000 new customers during the first half to 30 June, 2020 compared with 47,540 in the same period last year.
