Adidas Has Just Signed The Most Lucrative Kit Deal In Soccer’s History

Real Madrid has announced an extension of their partnership with Adidas through to June 2028, marking the most lucrative kit deal in soccer history.

The eight-year deal is reportedly worth $1.7 billion and will see Adidas remain the club’s official kit supplier, after signing on with the Spanish soccer giants in 1998.

Real Madrid club president, Florentino Perez, said this deal will help to ensure Real Madrid stays successful for years to come.

“Real Madrid and Adidas are two of the most iconic brands in the sporting world,” he said.

“It is a natural step to extend our successful deal until 2028.

“Together we will continue to build this strategic alliance that helps us set a benchmark and remain leaders in football.

“Adidas is an ideal sponsor for us, Adidas provides the best equipment for our performance on and off the pitch and they have fantastic original products for our fans around the world.

“We know that together, we will continue to have years of success to come,” Mr Perez said.

Adidas CEO, Kasper Rorsted, said this deal cements both parties place as leaders in football.

“Without a doubt, Real Madrid is one of the best sports franchises in the world,” he said.

“We are thrilled to be able to continue our collaboration for years to come.

“This deal will help us complete our mission of being one of the best companies in world sport and make sure Adidas is a leader in football.

“We are proud to provide the kit for Real Madrid and serve all of the club’s fans around the world with innovative products and style,” Mr Rorsted said.

In comparison with Spanish rivals, Barcelona, who earns a reported $135 million per year through their deal with Adidas’ rivals, Nike, Real Madrid is set to earn about $241 million per year with this extension.
